The outpatient department is an important part of the overall running of the hospital. It is normally integrated with the in-patient services and manned by consultant physicians and surgeons who also attend inpatients in the wards. Many patients are examined and given treatment as outpatients before being admitted to the hospital at a later date as inpatients. When discharged, they may attend the outpatient clinic for follow-up treatment
Today, most Health Insurance policies do offer cashless hospitalization facility and route your policy through a Third party Administrator (TPA). However you should be familiar with the terms- Network Hospital and Non-network Hospital.
Network Hospitals are those hospitals that your TPA has an agreement with. In case of hospitalization, if you get admitted to a Network Hospital you will be eligible for cashless hospitalization, subject to the other terms and conditions mentioned in your policy being fulfilled. In case you are admitted to a Non-network Hospital, you will have to settle the bills directly to the hospital and then seek re-imbursement through your TPA..

The NS Hospital Theatre staff comprises of an experienced, dedicated and committed team of senior Sisters, Nurses and para medical staff to assist the Consultants.
The Hospital is pleased to offer our visitors, patients, and staff access to a 24 hour ATM machine service located at the front of the hospital. The machine is operated by the Kerala Bank,Canera Bank & SBI and is housed in a secure location; surveillance is provided by Hospital Security at all times.
We operate four fully equipped Mobile Intensive Care units designed especially for transit of critical patients, while we also have ambulance services for non-critical patients. Trained personnel who have successfully completed BLS and ACLS courses are in-charge of the ambulance service. We stock emergency medication in our ambulances. A recent addition to our fleet is the bike ambulance with AED facility. The bike ambulance, driven by a paramedic, will ensure prompt medical assistance at an emergency site even during traffic blocks. The bike ambulance is equipped with: Automated External Defibrillator (AED), oxygen cylinder, pulse oximeter, BP apparatus, glucometer, first aid kit, half spine board, collar and portable suction.
The Staff nurse is responsible for the complete nursing care of the patient assigned to her. The duties would be shared with nursing students, if any and auxiliary staff such as nursing orderlies, ward boys, ayas, and sweepers as the situation warrants.
